The NP-1 is a multi-polymer consisting of alkane sulfonate, alkyl ester, and a crosslinking agent. It undergoes specialized technology to form a nano-solid sealing material with distinctive functional groups on the molecular chain that demonstrate robust adsorption capability and adhesion properties. By possessing an appropriate size distribution in muds, NP-1 effectively reduces pore-pressure transmission by sealing pore throats and micro-fractures. It can be utilized in various water-based drilling fluids as well as specific oil-based drilling fluids, with the recommended dosage ranging from 3.5 to 10.5 ppb.
